Telecentre Support Staff

Guy Morgan - Rural Telematics Technical Support Manager Guy is Rural Telematics Technical Support Manager for Telecentres Powys, and has worked on the project since August 1998. His job is to deliver technical support to existing telecentres, and for the development of new telecentres and now Computerised Communities. He is also involved in training telecentre staff and volunteers so that they are well equipped to assist their customers. Until very recently, Guy was an active member with the Territorial Army and now he spends his time keeping fit and enjoys immensely a good game of 5-a-side football, squash, and on occasion badminton.
Tim Fletcher - Telecentres Project Manager Tim Fletcher has been the Project Manager for Telecentres since Feb 97. He joined the council to work on the development of Telecentres and public access to ICTs (information and communication technologies) and was the person who dreamed up the PowysWeb project. Part of his job is to attempt to get funding for schemes and another bit is the ICT economic development bit of the Authority. He lives in Llandrindod, has a GSOH, likes rabbits and land rovers.
Dave Addis - Technical Support Officer Dave only joined the team at the end of last November, and is now busy driving all over Powys (as does Guy) providing technical support to Telecentres. Dave's role is to assist Guy in activities related to the support of telecentres, and he's perfect for the job having just left his last role in Gloucestershire where he was involved in setting up and supporting several voluntary sector organisation's telecentres and training centres.
Liza Hirani - Technical / Administrative Assistant Liza's role in the IT team is to assist in the collection and maintenance of computer information systems related to public information projects and to assist in the administration of projects. She also assists in the preparation of electronic information systems, including HTML and PHP coding - although on this site she did more than 'assist' as this site was produced by Liza and her technical wizardry!
Becky Morgan - Community Information Systems Assistant Becky has been with the Council for fifteen months since leaving University where she did a BSc in Psychology & Literature (yep, nothing to do with IT). Up until last October she worked full time on a Llwybr funded project to get community and voluntary groups in Powys online, but is now working alongside the Telecentres team on Web Site development, sustainabilty & development plans and other issues related to community IT facilities in Powys.
